Annwyl Gydweithiwr

Dear Colleague

Mae’r pandemig Coronafeirws (Covid-19) yn effeithio’n fawr ar fywydau pobl yng Nghymru ac ar draws y DU. Nid yw dim ond yn effeithio ar iechyd corfforol yn unig – mae wedi creu argyfwng lles ariannol a fydd yn parhau i waethygu i filiynau o bobl. Mae Gwasanaeth Arian a Phensiynau (MaPS) yn chwarae rôl hanfodol wrth helpu’r bobl hon i ddelio â’r argyfwng ar yr un pryd â llywio Strategaeth y DU dros Les Ariannol hanfodol bwysig, gan osod sylfaen ar gyfer newid trawsffuriol yn y dyfodol.

The Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic is profoundly impacting the lives of people in Wales and right across the UK. It is not only affecting physical health – it has also created a financial wellbeing crisis that will continue to worsen for millions of people. The Money and Pensions Service (MaPS) is playing a critical role in helping these people to deal with the crisis now whilst also driving forward the vitally important UK Strategy for Financial Wellbeing, laying the foundations for truly transformational change in the future.

Fel rhan o’n ymrwymiad i helpu pobl, rydym wedi lansio’r Teclyn Llywio Ariannol newydd ar-lein yn y Gymraeg a Saesneg, er mwyn helpu pobl sydd wedi gweld effaith Covid-19 ar eu harian, a chan ddarparu cyfarwyddyd sydd wedi eu llunio i ddiwallu eu hanghenion. Rwy’n sicr eich bod yn gweithio gyda phobl sy’n delio â sefyllfaoedd ariannol cymhleth fel diswyddo neu golli swyddi, y sawl sy’n hunangyflogedig y mae eu gwaith wedi dod i ben, a phobl a welodd cwymp dros dro yn eu hincwm sydd angen help i adfer eu sefyllfa ac sy’n ei gweld hi’n anodd gwybod ble i ddechrau. Bydd y teclyn hefyd yn helpu pobl sy’n edrych am gymorth mewn maes penodol, yn ogystal â’r rheiny sydd efallai mewn sefyllfa ariannol well oherwydd Covid-19 ac sydd am wybod beth i’w wneud ag unrhyw gynilion y maent o bosibl wedi eu cronni.

As part of our commitment to helping people, we have launched a new online Money Navigator Tool in Welsh and English, to help people who have seen their finances impacted by Covid-19, by providing them with guidance personalised to their needs. I am sure you are working with people who are dealing with complex financial situations such as redundancy or job loss, the self-employed whose work has dried up, and people who have had a temporary income drop who need help to get back on track and who may find it difficult to know where to start. The tool will also help people who are looking for support in a specific area, as well as those who might be in a better financial position due to Covid-19 and want to know what to do with any savings they may have built up.

Bydd y teclyn hefyd yn helpu llawer o bobl i ddod o hyd I gymorth gan sefydliadau eraill, fel:

  • Cyngor ar Bopeth Cymru, StepChange, National Debtline a PayPlan ar gyfer cyngor ar ddyledion, yn ogystal â Business Debtline ar gyfer perchnogion busnesau;
  • Cyngor ar Bopeth Cymru a Turn2Us ar gyfer help â budd-daliadau a Chredyd Cynhwysol; a
  • Shelter Cymru, ar gyfer cymorth â thai.

The tool will also help many people find support from other organisations, such as:

  • Citizens Advice Cymru, StepChange, National Debtline and PayPlan for debt advice, as well as Business Debtline for business owners;
  • Citizens Advice Cymru and Turn2Us for help with benefits and Universal Credit; and
  • Shelter Cymru, for housing support.

Bydd adnoddau eraill yn cynnwys canllawiau dwyieithog o wefan Gwasanaeth Arian a Phensiynau.
